The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Robert Higgins can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolences

Condolence From: Jim Reiter
Condolence: My mother, Beatrice Tietjen (nee Kuttner) believes Bob was a friend of hers as a teen in the 1940's. If he lived in Richmond Hill at the time, then this is definitely the person she remembers. We send our condolences.

Condolence From: Norm Fortier
Condolence: To Bob's family:
I had the privilege of being on your dad's Bocci team last year. It was the first time I met him and every time I saw him, he had a smile on his face. Unfortunately, after forgetting a few games, he decided to give up playing which we all felt bad about, because we knew how much he loved playing. It seem to keep him happy. We will all miss him dearly. Now he's back with your mom and not so lonely anymore. My deepest sympathy to his family.

Condolence: Dear Robert,Richard,Debbie,Barbara Jean,Susan, David and families,
My brother Stephen just texted us all the obituary in Newsday of the passing of your dad. Since my mom's passing in 2015, I cannot tell you how many times your dad was in my thoughts and was wondering how he was doing. You have all of our deepest sympathies. Both your Mom and Dad have a place in our hearts. Their friendship with our parents was so special and inspiring. My mom and dad loved them deeply and they were blest to have spent several of their senior years together in Florida. The last time I saw your dad in Fl., he shared with me how much he missed his Joanie. Although saddened by his loss, I do have a smile thinking of the 4 of them together again. Sorry I cannot be at the church tomorrow.
Love, Corinne

Condolence From: Kathie Knight
Condolence: From Vermont, a note of sympathy from your neighbor. A new star in the sky, a new angel and many happy people who went before, now with him. He will watch over you, like a breeze on your face, you can feel it, tho you can't see it. I just read somewhere, twice, this last week, that stars are the holes in the floor of Heaven. He is fine now. Bless him...
