Obituary for
Marie Roppoli-Neach (McCann)
Marie A. Roppoli-Neach, 87 of Shamong, NJ passed away Tuesday December 26, 2017 with her family by her side. Marie was born in Spring Lake and raised in Spring Lake Heights. She was a graduate of Manasquan High School. Marie had lived in Brick for a few years after her first marriage and then moved to Spring Lake Heights in 1963 where she raised her family. After the death of her first husband in 1975, she and her second husband eventually moved to Freehold and remained there until the year 2000 when they moved to Shamong, NJ. Marie had been a nurse’s aide at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, in Neptune for over 20 years. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother, an advocate for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a fundraiser for Deborah Heart and Lung Hospital in Browns Mills, NJ and an avid NY Yankee and Derek Jeter fan. Marie was a member of the Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Tabernacle, NJ and a former member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Manasquan, NJ.
Marie was predeceased by her first husband Andrew Roppoli in 1975 and her second husband John R. Neach in 2003. She is survived by her children Andrew C. Roppoli and his wife Mary Stearns-Roppoli of Shamong, NJ, Joseph E. Roppoli and his wife Lynn Roppoli of Brielle, NJ and Andrea Roppoli-Moran and her husband Rick Moran of Margate, FL. Marie is also survived by five grandchildren William Patrick Roppoli (Samantha), Nicole Mary Drake (Burt), Cheryl Marie Kraczewski (Jacek), Jessica Lyn Roppoli (Dan) and Andrew Joseph “AJ” Roppoli (Caitlin); three great grandchildren Zoey Marie Roppoli, Cameron Andrew Drake and Izabelle Paige Kraczewski; three siblings Betty Jean Nelson, Genevieve Wilson and Richard McCann (Theresa).
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 4-8 pm on Tuesday January 2, 2018 at Orender Family Home for Funerals 2643 Old Bridge Road Manasquan, NJ. A funeral service will be held 11am Wednesday January 3, 2018 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Atlantic View Cemetery, Manasquan.
