Walter Bronikowski
Walter J. Bronikowski, 90 of Brielle, NJ passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center with his beloved daughter, Lisa by his side. He was born and raised in Bayonne, NJ and resided in Brielle most of his life. Walter graduated from Bayonne Technical High School. He received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech University. He went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Engineering from Newark College of Engineering (now known as NJIT). He worked as an Engineer for several chemical and pharmaceutical companies, including American Cyanamid where he worked for 25 years. After retiring from industry, he was a Professor of Drafting and Engineering at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft, NJ.

He served as a Sergeant in the Army during World War II and was stationed in Germany.

He was a Communicant of St. Denis Church, Manasquan where he served as an usher for many years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Rev. John F. Welsh Council 3231 and served as the Grand Knight. He achieved Fourth Degree Knight Status for his many years of service and dedication. Walter spent countless hours volunteering for the underprivileged and disabled children. He enjoyed the bond of brotherhood with his fellow Knights.

He served as Commander of the Barnegat Bay Power Squadron and taught boating navigation courses to the members.

He was a member of the Newman Club. While on a boat ride to Rye Beach with the Newman Club, he met the love of his life, Elizabeth (nee McGreene). They were married 61 years and enjoyed boating, the beach and traveling together. Walter also enjoyed fishing and for many years owned his own boat.

He is predeceased by his devoted wife, Elizabeth Bronikowski and his identical twin brother, Joseph Bronikowski. He is survived by his loving daughter, Lisa Ingrassia and her husband, Al of New York City, and his grandson, Vincent. Walter's greatest joy came from being "Grandpa" to Vincent.
