Obituary for Adele Reo (Bevaqua)
Adele B. Reo, 67 of Whiting passed away February 14, 2018 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune with her loving husband by her side. Adele was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ and graduated high school from St. Aloysius Academy. She received her Bachelor’s in Sociology from Georgian Court University; her first Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Connecticut and her second Master’s in Health Education from Temple University. Adele moved to Neptune with her family, as a young woman, and later returned to live there nearly 25 years with her husband. She was a communicant of Holy Innocents Church, Neptune. Adele was Director of Psychiatric Services at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold for several years before returning to her former employer, Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune for 12 years retiring in 2011. Adele was a recipient of the Meridian Legend Award for outstanding service at JSUMC. Both she and her husband rescued many animals over the years. She enjoyed entertaining friends and family and loved to dance. Adele always tried to make every day a holiday. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Adele is survived by her husband of 30 years Robert Reo; her mother-in-law Mildred Reo both of Whiting. She is also survived by her cousins Dr. and Mrs. Santo Grasso of Avon and her dearest friends Haley Glazer of Ewing, Janet McCall Bickley of Texas and Mary Catherine O'Brien of Leonardo, NJ.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, 11am on Saturday February 17, 2018 at Holy Innocents Church, Neptune. Entombment will follow at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to your most cherished charity.
