James "Jim" Perez
James G. “Jim” Perez, 73 of Mays Landing passed away on Sunday June 24, 2018, at AtlantiCare Medical Center, Atlantic City, NJ with his family by his side. Jim was born in Elizabeth and raised in Linden where he graduated from Linden High School in 1962. Upon graduation, Jim entered the US Navy and served from 1962 to 1965. After his military service, he received his college degree from Rutgers in 1969. Jim worked for RCA Computer Division, New Jersey Blue Cross/Blue Shield and United Hospitals, Newark, NJ in hospital administration, McDonnell Douglas as a Regional Manager, Holy Cross Hospital as Director of Information Systems. Prior to his retiring in 2010, he worked in hospital consulting. Jim was a member of the American Legion, Elks, Knights of Columbus and Moose Lodges. He was very patriotic and thoroughly enjoyed celebrating the 4th of July. Jim was a great chef, an avid saltwater fisherman, loved boating and camping. Family was everything to Jim and he will also be missed by his dog Sandy.
Jim was predeceased by his parents George and Julia Perez. He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years Georgianne (nee Clements) Perez of Mays Landing; his loving daughters Elisa Perez Whealton and her husband Anthony of Atlanta, GA, Michelle Perez Bellusci and her husband Andre of Brielle, NJ; seven cherished grandchildren Jack Squires, Julia Squires, James Squires, Joseph Bellusci, Ella Bellusci, Nicolas Whealton and Rocco Bellusci. Jim is also survived by brother Richard Perez and his wife Maryann of Toms River, NJ, a sister Linda Kindnerski and her husband Joseph of Brick, NJ, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, June 30, 2018, from 11 am to 1 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals 2643 Old Bridge Road Manasquan, NJ.
