Obituary for Frederick Ferreira

Frederick  Ferreira
Frederick Ferreira, 93 of Edison passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at the VA Home, Edison. He was born and raised in New Bedford, Massachusetts and moved to New York at the age of 19. There he worked as a taxi cab driver and a laborer in a factory. He was a WWII naval veteran. Fred moved to Deer Park, Long Island and retired from the United States Postal Service after 34 years of service as a mailman in Deer Park, Long Island. After his retirement Fred and his loving wife Gloria moved to Brick, NJ in 1990. After the passing of his wife Gloria, Fred relocated to Edison, NJ.

Frederick was predeceased by his wife of 54 years Gloria in 2005. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Robert and Mary Ferreira of Howell; his granddaughter Jami and her husband Jeremy and their son Jackson; his grandson John and his spouse Katherine.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Mass 10:30 am on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Church Allentown, NJ. Interment will be at a later date in the Brigadier Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the National MS Society PO Box 4527 New York, NY 10163.
