John’s family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5: 28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I am sending you a link with more information on this hope.

Dear Gerri and John, I was so sorry to read about John's passing in this morning's APP. We had many memorable and enjoyable times during our Little League days, including business discussions (me with Bristol-Myers and L'Oreal, and John with Vicks). John always had that most pleasant personality and ready smile. Please accept my prayers of condolence and future Communions. My wife Eileen will be sure to say hello as they enjoy eternal happiness, God Bless you, Gerri & John, as well as your entire extended family. Jack Faletti

So sad to heat of the death of John. He was a wonderful man. I remember being in high school together. When we moved to Colts Neck and went to mass at St Mary's, I was surprised and happy to see you both again. Please accept my condolences. I am so very sad to learn of his death. I know your children and grandchildren will be a comfort to you as you mourn his death. I will pray for all of you. Micki Vazzano Vodarsik
