Obituary

George R Norcross Jr, 51 of Manchester passed away January 13th at Ocean Medical Center.

George grew up in Spring Lake Heights, NJ. He worked full time at Shore Wilbert LLC in Lakewood and as head security at Wall Stadium Speedway.

George had a great love for racing since he was a child. He was not just known as head of security; he was a great friend to many of the drivers and helped on many of the cars. George was an avid bowler and a huge Dallas fan.

George was loved by all and was known as the Gentle Giant.

George was predeceased by his father, George R Norcross Sr, his sister Carol Lofmark and his step daughter Nicole Barrett - Lind.

He was survived by his mother, Margaret Norcross, wife Jo Ann Norcross, two step sons Steven and Scott Lind, his sisters Rhonda Jobes and Wendy Husted and several nephews, nieces and 3 grandchildren.

Memorial visitation will be held from 1- 3 pm Sunday, January 20th at the Wall United Methodist Church at 2414 Old Mill Rd in Spring Lake Heights with a service to follow. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the care of Orender Family Home for Funerals, Manasquan.

I knew George when I was little and we went on Boy Scout paper drives with his father driving the truck...George was a really great and nice guy...can remember us joking and laughing at we did the paper drives...my prayers for the Lord's comfort and peace for the Norcross family in this time of mourning.George you will be missed my friend-Psalms 23

George’s family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5: 28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out".
