Paul Fair, 83, Eatontown passed away and joined his wife Patricia (Patsy) Fair on Sunday February 10, 2019. Paul joined the United States Army in 1959, was sent to the Republic of South Korea. In 1961, Paul completed his tour, remained in Korea and joined the Civil Service as a clerk. Paul did continue military service in the reserves until 1964. Paul spent the majority of his career at Fort Monmouth with tours in Washington D.C. and Alexandria, VA. Paul served as Supervisory Supply Management Officer, Logistics and Readiness Center at CECOM until his retirement after almost 36 years in 1996. Shortly thereafter, he contracted macular degeneration, lost his frontal vision never to recover. Numerous other aliments plagued Paul and forced his days mostly at home however, Patsy and Paul did travel until 2012. Patsy and Paul could always be seen at various family functions held at nieces or grandchildren homes never wanting to miss a good home cooked meal or dessert. In 2015 after sustaining a fall, Paul spent time at assisted living facilities in Shrewsbury and Jackson. In October 2018 we were able to bring Paul back home where he remained in the place he most loved. Paul was especially proud of the fact that he was able to donate about 15 gallons of blood during the course of his lifetime.
Paul is survived by his son Stephan Clark and wife Eileen (Gemma) of Eatontown and his sister Martha Ann Eichelsdoerfer of Palm Beach, FL and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews residing in NJ, FL, and CA.
