Lawrence “Larry” Romano, 82 of Point Pleasant Boro passed away on Tuesday July 9, 2019 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. Larry was born and raised in the Marion section of Jersey City, NJ. He attended from Dickinson High School where he was a left handed pitcher for the varsity baseball team. Larry was a US Army veteran. After his military service Larry worked as a truck driver for Teamster Local 617 and 641 for over 35 years. Larry moved his family to Brick in 1969. He enjoyed going to Monmouth Racetrack and wagering a little on the horses and socializing with his friends. Larry was a member of the Point Pleasant Elks Lodge 1698 and the Point Pleasant VFW Post # 4715.
Larry was predeceased by his parents Carlo and Angelina Romano and his sister Madeline Urban. He is survived by his devoted wife of 28 years Barbara (nee Sallustro) Romano of Point Pleasant Boro; two loving sons Larry Romano of Brick, NJ and Scott Romano of MI; his loving daughter Danielle Galvin and her husband Richard of GA. Also surviving is his children’s mother Barbara Romano of Toms River, NJ; a sister Marie Kotz of Hoboken, NJ; his beloved step-children Sheila (Peter) Schmidt of GA, Barbara (Robert) Seipel of Brick, Allan Feldman of FL, and Wayne Feldman of MA; his cherished grandchildren Mitchell, Sarah, Trevor, Isabella, Cassandra, Elyssa and Eizen; one great grandchild Kayden.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday July 13, 2019 from 2-5 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals 2643 Old Bridge Road, Manasquan, NJ.
