Eugene “Buddy” Morgan, 84 of Brielle passed away on July 11, 2019 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick with his family by his side. Buddy was a lifelong resident of Brielle. He attended Manasquan High School where he lettered in Football, Baseball and Track. Buddy was a veteran of the United States Air Force. After serving in the military he was a letter carrier for the Brielle Post Office, a Special II Police Officer for Brielle and worked 30 years for Jersey Coast Freight Line. He then became the superintendent of Atlantic View Cemetery for 12 years before fully retiring after a lifetime of service to his family and his neighborhood. Buddy was a pillar of the Brielle community as a coach, mentor and friend becoming a positive influence to so many of our area's youth.

Buddy loved the NY Yankees, was an avid gardener, enjoyed his trips to the horse track and Atlantic City with his wife and family. He never missed a Sunday morning watching Dr. Charles Stanley and was a big fan of old war movies, Westerns and Manasquan High School Football. You could always catch him on the sideline cheering on the Big Blue Warriors.
Buddy was predeceased by his parents William and Martha Morgan and eight siblings Edsel, Alfred, Melvin, Norman, Leonard, Marva, Roselle and Larry. He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years Isabel (Jones) Morgan of Brielle; his three loving sons Tarrin (Ricky) Morgan, Sr. and wife, Willianna of Neptune, Eugene Morgan and wife Karen of Long Branch and Derek Morgan of Brielle; a brother William Morgan of Brielle and a sister WillaMae Ficklin of N.C. Buddy is also survived by eight cherished grandchildren Douglas and his wife Maggie, Lyndsey and her wife Brittany, Chris, Tarrin II, Julian, Sean and his wife Charity Jordan and Xavier; 5 adored great grandchildren Jacob, Luke, Michael, Brayden and Marcus.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 from 10 am to 1 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals 2643 Old Bridge Road Manasquan. A funeral service will begin at 1 pm. Interment will follow at Atlantic View Cemetery, Manasquan.
