Marcella A. Blewett, 87 of Wall passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2019 peacefully at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born and raised in Whitestone, NY and was a graduate of Bayside High School. After high school she worked as a secretary in NYC. Marcella met her husband Patrick at Cresthaven in Whitestone. After their marriage they lived and raised their family in Westchester County before moving to East Brunswick in 1967. There Marcella was a communicant of St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. She was an administrative assistant at Rutgers University for 15 years, retiring in 1990. Marcella and her husband Patrick had lived in Monmouth County for many years before moving to Lakewood in 2002. Marcella enjoyed traveling with her husband and especially the times they wintered in Anguilla where they met many good friends. She will be fondly remembered by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Marcella was predeceased by her husband of 61 years Patrick in 2017; a grandson Timothy Blewett in 2017 and a brother John Egan. She is survived by her loving children MaryJo Collins (Sean), Kathleen Barlow (Stephen), Patrick Blewett, Jr. (Bonnie), Sheila Andrucyk (Brad), Denis Blewett and Margaret Carpe (Andrew); she was the cherished grandmother of Sean Collins Jr., Matthew Collins, Brian Barlow (Kara), Tara LaForge (Richard), Maureen Barlow, Patrick Blewett (Allison), Kelly Johnson (Tyler), John Blewett, Kyle Andrucyk (Viveka), Kaylee Andrucyk, Gillian Blewett, Justin Carpe, Brian Carpe, Andrea Coffee (Nicholas), Dylan Carpe and Brendan Carpe; beloved great grandmother of Thomas, Magdalene, Elizabeth, Samuel, Dominic, Keira, Hayden, Preston, Mason, Hailee, Aiden, Nolan, Anderson and Charles.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, November 11, 2019 at 10 am at St. Denis Church, Manasquan. The interment will follow at St. Mary of the Lake, Lakewood, NJ.
