Obituary

Charles E. VanWickle III, 79 of Ft. Myers, FL, passed away peacefully at Gulf Coast Medical Center, Ft.
Myers, FL on Sunday, January 5, 2020. He was born on April 28, 1940 in Neptune, NJ to Elizabeth M.
(Betty Case) and Charles E, VanWickle, Jr. Charlie was raised in Belmar and was a graduate of Asbury
Park High School where he was a standout basketball player and attended Dickinson College, Carlisle, PA.
Charlie moved to Wall Township in 1965 where he resided for many years with a career in banking and
mortgage brokerage. Upon Charlie’s retirement he moved to the Ft. Myers Beach, FL area. He was an
avid sports fan, following both college and pro sports, especially the NY Yankees and NY Giants.

Charlie was predeceased by his parents and his brother-in-law James J White. He is survived by his two
loving sons Charles E. “Chas” VanWickle IV of Brielle and Steven T. VanWickle of Santa Cruz, CA. Charlie
was the cherished grandfather of Regan S. and Riley B. His beloved sister Sally White of Brielle, NJ and
Naples, FL. He also is survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Saturday, January 25, 2020 from 2-5 pm
at Orender Family Home for Funerals 2643 Old Bridge Road Manasquan, NJ with a funeral service to
begin at 4:30 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Callan D Costa Foundation C/O
Joey and Shana Costa PO Box 1877 Point Pleasant Beach, NJ 08742. To send condolences to the family

Condolences to the family. I worked with Charlie in 1960 in the bank, it was my first job. Oh what fun we had and I have many wonderful memories. So very sorry for your loss.
