Dyanna Kay Kahl-Winter (née Hammer), 61, of Wanamassa, gained her angel wings on Friday, January 31, 2020 at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch NJ with her devoted husband Craig by her side. Dyanna was born in Augsburg, Germany on August 10, 1958. Raised in a military household, she spent her childhood in many locations, including Germany, Minnesota, Kansas and North Carolina before her family settled at Fort Monmouth in 1974. Dyanna graduated from Monmouth Regional High School in 1977 and Bryman School of Nursing. Dyanna married her high school sweetheart, Craig, in 1982. She loved hosting the holidays for her family and taking care of her home. She was a creative, fun, and loving person who adored her family, friends and her dogs. She created many traditions and memories that will live on through her daughters.

Dyanna was predeceased by her mother, Sondra Hammer. She is survived by her father, Lt. Colonel (Ret) Theodore Hammer of Eatontown; her husband of 37 years, Craig Kahl-Winter; her three children: Jessica and her husband Michael Conte of Northern NJ, Sara and her partner, Matt Jordan of Ocean Twp, NJ, Molly and her partner, Gunner Loper of Marlton, NJ; Her brothers: Theodore, Jr and his wife Diane of Fort Collins, CO; John Hammer of Eatontown, NJ; and her beloved dog, Jack. Dyanna is also survived by her loving nieces and nephew: Heidi and husband Joe Metzger-Hammer of Windsor CO, Katie Hammer of Fort Collins, CO, Travis and his wife Lauren Hammer of Boulder, CO, as well as a host of extended family members and friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, February 7, 2020 from 4-8 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals 2643 Old Bridge Road Manasquan, NJ 08736. A funeral service will be held 10 am at the funeral home on Saturday, February 8, 2020. Interment will be private at Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls.
