Alfred Durham, Sr., 86 of Brielle passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Willow Springs Rehab Center, Brick. Alfred was born and raised in Cranford, NJ. He was a graduate of Cranford High School. After high school Alfred enlisted in the Navy and served during the Korean War. After his military service Alfred began his over 40 years career in the auto industry as parts manager for General Motors. He had worked in that capacity for various Chevrolet dealerships throughout the years and finished his career working for Pep Boys. Alfred was a member of the Jersey Shore Calvary Chapel in Point Pleasant. He enjoyed all sports and was an avid Washington Redskins Fan. Alfred enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, gardening with his wife, and staying up on current events.
Alfred was predeceased by his four brothers Clyde, Marvin, Ferman and Curtis: his four sisters Bernice Durham, Ruth Clark, Betty Avery and Shirley Fagg. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years Fannie (nee McDuffie) Durham of Brielle; his loving sons Alfred Bruce Durham, Jr. and his wife Cora of San Diego, Ca, Christopher Miles Durham and Lyle Sterling Durham both of Brielle. Alfred is also survived by a sister Lois Boughknight and a brother Ronnie Durham.
Arrangements are under the care of Orender Family Home for Funerals, Manasquan. All services were private. Interment will be at Brigadier General William C.
