Albert Valverde, 95 of Wall passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in New York City on August 14, 1924 he was the son of immigrant parents from Venezuela. Al, as he was affectionately known, spent much of his childhood in Corona, Queens, NY before moving and starting a family in Hazlet, NY. He was a WWII army veteran proudly serving his country as a supply clerk, obtaining the rank of Corporal. Al was the recipient of the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and WWII Victory Medal while spending much of his time overseas in New Caledonia before being Honorably Discharged in March of 1946. Al had a 40-year career working in New York City at Chase office supply before retiring. When Al wasn’t delivering one of his famous jokes, he loved watching his NY Yankees.

Al was predeceased by his wife Mary and his son Edward. He is survived by his loving daughter Joyce and grandson Zachary. Al is also survived by his companion of 30 years, Carol Notte.
