Obituary

James K. MacGregor May 16, 1953 - February 2, 2021

James MacGregor, 67 of Berkeley Township, NJ passed away on February 2, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Paterson, NJ he was a resident of Manchester Township for most of his life before moving to Berkeley Township two years ago. Jim was a graduate of Lakewood High School, Class of 1971. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1973-1979. Jim (Mac) was the service manager for Point Bay Fuel for over 30 years.

Jim was always ready for a party often stating “It’s 5 o’clock somewhere”. He was frequently found in the kitchen cooking. When anyone spent time with him they never left hungry or thirsty. His greatest joy was being with his family and The Clubhouse Gang.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Sylvia (Arzapalo), his children Tracy and Justin Heald of Brielle, NJ and Corey MacGregor of Point Pleasant Beach, NJ and his grandchildren Madison, Stella, Lachlan and Asher Heald and Connie MacGregor. He is also survived by three brothers, three sisters, nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are under the care of Orender Family Home for Funerals, Manasquan. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date when all of his loved ones are able to join together. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim’s memory can be sent to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital by visiting www.stjude.org.

No words will ever do justice to the impact you left on our Point Bay family and everyone that knew you.
We were so lucky to have you on our team for many years.
Your smile lit up a room when you walked in. You were always ready for a party.
My heart is truly broken knowing you're not going to be there every morning to say to me "Good morning sunshine ".
Mac you are gone but will never be forgotten.
You will forever be in my heart and Ryan's.
We are truly thankful that we were able to be a part of your life.
You fought a tough fight my dear friend.
You truly were the bravest man I know.
RIP our dear Mac...

There are no words to express the lost of "Mac" he will be solely missed by all his Point Bay Fuel family. We worked together for 25 years he was the heart and soul of Point Bay. He new everything about Point Bay, its going to be hard going forward. He always made sure we were well feed and had a party for every occasion. I will miss his cole slaw. He suffered for the last couple of years with different illness but always fought and came back. Its so unfair the way God took him. But God must of needed an angel by his side and didn't want him to suffer anymore. I will truly miss you Mac.

Mac always made you feel like family regardless of who you were or how long you knew him. He was always there to help, talk or just laugh. Mac was one of those guys you just really enjoyed the time you spent with him. Your life was better just by having Mac in it. He will be missed.
