Robert R. Roper, 62, of Belmar passed away peacefully February 13, 2021 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. He was born to the late Ivan and Grace Roper on September 23, 1958 in Neptune, New Jersey. Robert lived most of his life in Belmar, New Jersey. He attended Belmar Elementary School, Asbury Park High School and received his degree from St. Leo University in Florida. Robert was a Special Ed teacher at Asbury Park Middle School. He was very involved in his community and coached the girls’ basketball team at St. Rose High School and numerous other schools throughout his teaching career. He coached and umpired for Belmar Recreation and also DJ’d at many Jersey Shore venues. He had a strong love for his community and the youth that he coached.
Robert is survived by his brothers, James Roper and his late wife Patricia Roper, Eric Roper and his wife, Elaine Roper, his sister Johanna Roper Robinson. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Mayo and her husband, Ian Mayo, Khristopher Robinson and his wife Cassandra Robinson, Joshua Roper, Justin Robinson and his wife Nikall Robinson and Lindsay Roper-Hetland and her husband Eric Hetland. He is also survived by his Great Nieces and Nephews, Skylar, Maya, Jasiya, Ivan and Samari and his Great Great niece, Andromeda.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Sunday, February 28, 2021 from 1-4 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals 2643 Old Bridge Road Manasquan, NJ.
