Jane S. (nee Capro) Baker, 76 of Brick passed away peacefully on Friday, February 26, 2021 at her home
with her loving family by her side. Jane was born in Hillside and raised in Allenwood, NJ. She was a
graduate of Wall High School and after high school she graduated from beauty school and opened her
own salon called Jane’s Clip and Curl in Wall. Later she worked for Wall Township Municipality in the Tax
Assessor’s Office until her retirement in 2014. Jane was a devoted and selfless aunt and friend, however,
her most cherished title was wife, mother and grandmother. If you were lucky enough to know Jane,
you had a friend for life. Always a smile on her face, she was there for everyone and her biggest joy was
cooking for family and friends, sharing her love and spending time with her family, especially her
grandchildren. In retirement she spent countless hours at the pool, was an avid NJ Devils fan, loved
singing with her granddaughter and enjoyed watching her grandsons play hockey.

Jane was predeceased by her parents Anthony and Stella Capro; a brother Charles Capro and a sister
Lillian Clevenger. She is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, John Baker of Brick; her loving
children John Baker and his girlfriend Korene Houston of Tinton Falls and Jennifer Latshaw and her
husband Clem of Neptune. Jane was the cherished grandmother of Jake, Tyler, and Samantha.

Jenn Jenn, Big hugs to you and your family at this time. Although I never met your mom the stories you shared of her were beautiful. What I can attest to is she raised an amazing daughter who is also an amazing mom herself.
Lots of Love,
Lynn and Natalie

Many fond memories while growing up with Janie. I am 10 years her senior , but that never mattered.
She had such a unique way of expressing things in her down to earth way. She was so jovial and always
had a smile. I know she has all the angels smiling with her in heaven.
May she now rest in peace.
Love Cousin Emmie and family.

Thinking of you and your family at this extremely difficult time. I am having a tree planted in memory of your mom to insure that the legacy of your mom will live on forever. You will be receiving information in about six months telling you where this tree will be planted. My hope is that this will provide a little comfort to you and your family in knowing that she has made a lasting memory in this earthly world.

So sorry for your loss our deepest sympathy and love to y’all. Jane and I had years of laughter, tears , and apple pie making... I have never forgotten the Christmases with pop and things on a stick, the hours we would peel apples for the pies, going to the races, and of course partying. When ever Jane was around you were guarantee to laugh until your belly hurt! She has always been in my heart as a great friend and will be forever. We will someday meet again, Rest In Peace Janie ❤️
