Mary Lou Kleinknecht. 82 of Jackson formerly of Neptune passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Mary Lou was born and raised in Point Pleasant and graduated from Point Pleasant Beach High School. She was employed by Sears, Ocean Township for 20 years as a sales associate. Mary Lou enjoyed bowling in leagues in Neptune and Bradley Beach and being a member of the Early Bird League. She was a communicant of St Aloysius Church, Jackson, and a member of the Jackson Elks Lodge # 2744.
Mary Lou was predeceased by her parents Dorothy M. Chadwick and Howard S. Hodson; her first husband Bruce A Hartman and her second husband George R. Kleinknecht. She is survived by her loving children John Kleinknecht (Michele), Jacob Kleinknecht (Gloria), Louise Mekosh (Peter), William M. Hartman (Amanda), and Deborah Teeple. Mary Lou was the beloved sister to Bruce Hodson, Harry Chadwick (Susan), and her sister Kathleen Szczytko. She was the cherished grandmother to Kimberly Wolter (Christopher), George J. Kleinknecht (Jackie), Marie Mekosh and fiancé Rony, Julie Mekosh, Kaitlyn Gray (Travis), Lindsay Trettle (Tim), Kevin Kleinknecht (Amanda), Bruce Hartman, Shawn Christopher, Steven and Michael Teeple, and 18 great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, March 8, 2021 from 5-8 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals, 2643 Old Bridge Road Manasquan, NJ with a funeral service to begin at 7:30 pm.
