Jack Paterno, 83, of Wall Township passed away at Riverview Hospital in Red Bank on Thursday, March 11, 2021. Jack was born in Elizabeth, NJ and raised in Linden. He lived in Middletown, NJ for 39 years in the same house with his wife Lenore (Lennie) of 57 years where they raised four sons. He moved to the Four Seasons retirement community in Wall 13 years ago. With a Chemical Engineering Degree from M.I.T., he worked for 12 years at Union Carbide before starting his own business distributing polymers and minerals to Fortune 500 Companies. Three of his sons now manage the business.
Jack and Lennie were married 57 years and went around the world on their honeymoon. She was a stewardess for TWA Airlines. Jack loved traveling, the Jersey Shore, Sanibel Island, and dining out with friends and family. He was a devoted family man. He is survived by his wife Lennie, his 4 sons Shawn and wife Rebecca, and their children Nick, Ryan, Shawn, and Katie; Eric and his wife Allyson and children Jack and Amanda; Craig and his wife Jennie and their children Drew, Delaney, and Natalie; and Brian and his children Allie and Nate. His 11 grandchildren were the joy of his life. He is predeceased by his parents John and Jane Paterno.
Arrangements are under the care of Orender Family Home for Funerals, Manasquan, NJ. He will be cremated and will have a private funeral mass.
