Loretta M. Connolly age 99, died peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, March 18, 2021. Loretta (De Angelis), oldest of 4 children grew up in New Brunswick, N.J. She was married to her High School sweetheart Carl C. Connolly (deceased), owner of Connolly Construction Co. Her life was devoted to raising her three sons, born, and raised in New Brunswick. She volunteered her time at the local schools, hospital, and St. Peter’s Church. Loretta was gifted with a beautiful voice and gladly shared her talent at masses, weddings, and funerals. In 1969 they moved to Mantoloking and then Brielle. Loretta’s joy of life, along with family and friends included The Lion’s Club of NB, cooking, golf, watching football, family dinners, games, and cards.

Loretta was predeceased by her brother Frank (Jean) De Angelis and sister Elizabeth (Frank) Le Posa. Her surviving brother Robert and wife Carolyn De Angelis live in Venice, Fla. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Brian and wife, Olana, of Toms River, NJ, Carl of Brielle, NJ, Mark and wife, Debbie of Pt. Pleasant, NJ. Her Grandchildren, so grateful for all the years they shared her life and times: Christine Connolly of Toms River, NJ, Melissa Coulther and husband, Chris of Ashburn, Va., Mark A. Connolly and wife, Michelle of Lanoka Harbor, NJ, Allison Stevenson and husband Jay of Pt. Pleasant, NJ, Nicole Valenti and husband Rob of Middletown, NJ. Loretta was blessed and shared fun times with 11 Great Grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Thursday, March 25 from 4-7 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals 2643 Old Bridge Road in Manasquan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Friday, March 26 at 10 am at St. Denis RC Church 90 Union Ave in Manasquan. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery Toms River.
