Susan E. Young, 83, of Point Pleasant Boro passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her
side. Sue was born in New Rochelle, NY and raised in Ashburnham, MA and Frederick, MD. Sue
attended school in Maryland, Cushing Academy H.S. in Massachusetts, and Goucher College in Towson,
MD. After college Sue married Kenneth M Young, Jr. in 1959. They lived in NYC while he was attending
medical school and moved to the shore area in 1965 and had been a Wall Township resident for over 35
years. Sue took such pride in raising her two daughters. She was an avid gardener and had a love for
music. Sue was a longtime active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Manasquan. Sue was a
proud member of the choir, bell choir, a member of the Presbyterian Woman’s Group and enjoyed
volunteering to help others.
Sue was predeceased by her parents Mary and Melvin Partridge; her beloved husband of 49 years
Kenneth M Young, Jr., MD in 2008. She is survived by her loving daughters, Deborah Bottone and her
husband Ace of Point Pleasant Boro, and Christine A Jost of Wall Township. Sue was the cherished
grandmother of Laura and Drew Bottone, Melanie and Barry Jost Jr., Andrea and Matthew Bottone and
Brittany Jost; as well as her three great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Cole, and Mackinlee.
Arrangements are under the care of Orender Family Home for Funerals, Manasquan. There will be a
private family service on April 24, 2021 at the Manasquan Presbyterian Church. Due to COVID, friends
are invited to view the service via Youtube. Please log onto Youtube and enter the Manasquan
Presbyterian Church. Then go to the link for the Susan E. Young service. Memorial donations may be
